Uphill travel

Uphill travel inside the ski area boundary only on designated, signed routes. Blackcomb: the Blackcomb Bench Climb (from skier's right of Merlin's or Lot 7 — trailhead on the north side of Lower Cruiser at Base II) to the upper routes, the Excelerator Connector, Crystal Exit, the North Route (outside the boundary to Garibaldi Provincial Park) and the South Route up Blackcomb (5 AM – 9:30 AM only; clear of the 7th Heaven bottom by 9:30); the East Col beyond the Blackcomb Glacier needs a lift ticket and alpine clearance. Whistler: Singing Pass (valley to the park) and the Oboe Traverse (starts inbounds — lift ticket). Snowshoes only on the Bench Climb and the North Route. Check the Terrain Status GIS map for route status; backcountry tickets are sold for the lift sets to the access points (transceiver, probe, shovel, skins required).
