Terms of Use
Effective October 30, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Shredlytics LLC, a New Hampshire limited liability company (“Shredlytics”, “we”). By creating an account or using the app or this website (shredlytics.com) you agree to them. If you download the app from the App Store, Apple’s standard terms also apply to the download.
The service
Shredlytics is an iPhone app in development for recording ski and snowboard sessions, reviewing session summaries, exploring maps and using community features. Development builds also include experimental scores and coaching prompts. Features may change before public release. The website provides company information and a public resort guide. These services are tools for information and enjoyment, not safety devices or substitutes for instruction.
Ride at your own risk
Skiing and snowboarding carry inherent risk. You are responsible for your own safety and for following the Responsibility Code, trail signs, closures, patrol and resort staff at all times.
- Directions are a guide. Routes are computed from map data that may be wrong, incomplete or out of date, and from your past riding, which does not prove you can ride a given trail today. Trail difficulty, closures, grooming and conditions on the ground always take precedence over anything the app says. Never follow a route onto a closed trail or into terrain beyond your ability.
- Status, waits and forecasts may be stale, incomplete or wrong. Resort status comes from available source feeds, lift-wait estimates are derived from rider activity, and forecasts come from weather services. Check official resort information before relying on them.
- Fall and jump detection can miss events or fire wrongly. It does not contact anyone and is not an emergency feature.
- Coaching and scores are experimental estimates from phone sensors. Their technique accuracy and ability to improve riding have not been established through field validation. They are not a medical, fitness or instructional assessment.
Do not operate the phone while riding. Set up what you need at the top, in the lift line or when stopped safely off to the side.
Your account
You need an account to use the app. Keep your sign-in email secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 13 to have one.
Your content
Reviews, condition reports, votes and your Shredder Tag can be public, including to visitors to our resort website. By posting them you give us permission to display them as part of the app and website. Keep them honest and about the mountain: no harassment, no personal information about others, no advertising, no links. We may remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules or the law. Private notes are yours alone and we do not read them except to operate the service.
Fair use
Don’t try to break into, overload, scrape or reverse engineer the service, submit false data (for example manufactured speeds or runs) to leaderboards, or impersonate someone else. We may rate-limit, remove or suspend accounts that do.
Our content
The app, site, design, text, illustrations and software are ours or licensed to us. Trail and lift geometry includes data from OpenStreetMap contributors via OpenSkiData under the ODbL, with attribution in the app and resort guide. Resort names and logos belong to the resorts and are used only to identify them. Shredlytics is not affiliated with or endorsed by any resort.
Subscriptions
This website does not sell an app subscription. Any paid app features, prices, renewal and cancellation terms will be presented before purchase through the applicable app distribution service. A feature described on this site is not a promise of free or permanent availability.
Ending the agreement
You can delete your account at any time in the app. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms. The sections on risk, content, disclaimers and liability survive.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of maps, routes, status or scores. To the fullest extent the law allows, Shredlytics is not liable for any injury, loss or damage arising from your use of the service or reliance on anything in it, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, which may be nothing. Some places don’t allow these limits; where that is the case they apply as far as the law permits.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New Hampshire.
Changes
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with its effective date and tell you in the app when a change matters. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the change.
