Uphill travel

Alpine touring on the designated ascent trail (about 30–45 min to the summit), included with a lift ticket or a 2026–27 unlimited pass, else a touring day ticket ($8.70 weekdays, $13.50 weekends / holidays / spring break). Ascents and descents only 9 a.m.–3:45 p.m. weekdays and 8:30 a.m.–3:45 p.m. weekends (off the mountain by 3:45); never down the ascent trail or on closed or undesignated trails; none pre- or post-season; metal edges and brakes or leashes; single file; no animals. Not regularly patrolled — patrol 819 424-1373; 911 in an emergency; $250+ for any rescue off the marked open trails.
