Uphill travel

No uphill travel inside the Alpental ski area permit boundary during the operating season (avalanche hazard and control work) — from when crews start preparing the mountain until they finish tearing down; outside it, uphill travel is allowed. Backcountry travelers may use the groomed Back Bowls return trail single file to the bottom of Trash Can, then must turn right across the bridge up the valley.
