Privacy Policy

Shredlytics is a ski and snowboard tracking app for iPhone, operated from New Hampshire, USA (“Shredlytics”, “we”). This policy explains what the app collects, what it does with it, and the choices you have. The short version: tracking and scoring happen on your phone, your raw GPS never leaves it, and we sync only the summaries that make your days follow you to a new phone and power friends, leaderboards and reviews. We show no ads, use no advertising or analytics SDKs, and never sell data.
What the app collects
Processed on your phone only
- Location and motion while a session records. GPS, barometric altitude, accelerometer and gyroscope samples are used on the phone to detect runs, lifts and lift lines, measure speed and vertical, detect jumps and falls, and score technique. Your route points and replays are stored only on the phone, in the app’s own storage, and are never uploaded.
- Compass heading, used only while the “Around you” skyline is on screen.
- Camera, used only to scan a friend’s QR code. No photo or video is captured or stored.

We keep no raw coordinates, route points, photos or video on the server. A run on the server is a set of numbers and the ids of the trails it matched.
Not collected
We do not collect advertising identifiers, contacts, precise location history, or anything from other apps. We do not track you across apps or websites.
How we use it
- To run the app: your history, scores, coaching, friends and leaderboards.
- To compute community features from many riders together: typical lift-line waits (only shown when at least three riders have contributed), condition reports and ratings.
- To send you sign-in emails. We send no marketing email unless you ask for it.
- To keep the service safe: rate limits, review flagging and abuse handling.

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We disclose data only when the law requires it.
Your choices
- Share my day with friends (Account) controls whether friends can see that you are riding at a resort today and what you were last on. It never shares a location, only the lift or trail you were matched to.
- Leaderboards can be limited to friends only (Account).
- Delete your account in the app under Account › Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and complete: your account, profile, days, runs, friends, reviews, votes and notes are removed from our servers and the app erases its storage on your phone. Nothing is anonymized and kept. Only the fact that a deletion happened is logged, with no identifier. Backups may hold a copy for up to seven days and are never used to restore a deleted account.
- Can’t sign in? Email support@shredlytics.com from the account’s address and we will delete the account for you within 30 days.
- A copy of your data: email the same address and we will send your rows as JSON.
Retention
Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. Sign-in links expire within an hour; invite links within 30 days (QR codes within 10 minutes). Data on your phone stays until you delete the account or remove the app.
Children
Shredlytics is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, email us and we will delete it.
Security
Data travels over HTTPS. Every row on the server is tied to one account and protected by row-level security so that only that account, and the specific features described above, can read it. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your data we will tell you.
Riders outside the United States
Our servers are in the United States. By using Shredlytics you agree to your data being processed there. If you live in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data and to object to certain processing; email us to exercise any of these.
Changes
We will post changes here with a new effective date, and tell you in the app when a change matters.
